Who knew? Forty-nine years ago, in 1975, a group of Jews in the Sun City Center area decided that they needed something more. They started a Jewish presence in Sun City Center with Friday evening services. Eleven years later, they incorporated Beth Israel, and two years later, built and dedicated our sanctuary building in 1988.
For forty-nine years, we have been a presence here in Greater Sun City Center, and we intend to do so for the next forty-nine years! But it doesn’t happen just like that. The Board and I need each and every one of you to tell our story — the story of lasting friendships, the story of Beth Israel as our family away from our own family, and how Beth Israel is the place to be for our social, educational, and religious lives. We can’t do it without you, and you can’t do it without us. Invite your friends and family to our public events as well as our services — you’ll be glad you did as we celebrate our Golden Anniversary next year!
