Sisterhood
September 2025
Hello, all,
We do hope you all had a summer full of fun interspersed with your doctors visits! Do you
remember when we mistakenly thought retirement was one huge party? We are now old enough to know better.
By now, you all should have received your invitations to rejoin Sisterhood. Along with the $18
dues form (or $54 if you are a non-member of BI), you received the 2025-2026 Calendar of Events. Programs Chairs Cyd Charrow and Vicky Noggle planned a fascinating season of presentations of all kinds. This year, Sisterhood programs will focus on the arts. If you know Cyd, you know why.
Please take note to completely fill in the dues form so we know of any updates in your email, mailing address, or phone number.
Our 2025-2026 Sisterhood season kicks off on Tuesday, September 2nd at 1:00 in the Social Hall. On board is our own Michelle Atkins-Schaefer, who will be speaking about osteoporosis. Someone mentioned that women our age should not be concerned about osteoporosis, because it is a “middle-aged” women’s disease. Many of women our age have, as gandmothers used to call it, “brittle bone disease” in varying degrees. We might not be able to avoid osteoporosis, but we can learn of ways to avoid having it worsen or debilitate us as we age. Refreshments will, as usual, be served, and all are welcome to join us. You may have a eighbor or friend who wants to know the difference between varying medications. Michelle will answer your questions.
The Men’s Club will be erecting the Sukkah on October 3rd, and we will be decorating it on Sunday, October 6th at 10:00 am. Donna will provide a pizza lunch under the Sukkah. Please join us!
Stay tuned,
Suzy & Donna
